The Canadian Christian Ministry (CCM) in British Columbia celebrated a significant gathering of faith, leadership, learning, and ministry as its Regional Convention, Leadership Conference, Graduation, and Ordination Ceremony were held in one meaningful event on September 30, from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM, at IFGF Church, 3891 Kingsway, Burnaby, British Columbia.

Centered on the theme “Leadership Under Pressure,” the conference brought together pastors, ministers, church leaders, graduates, families, and members of the Christian community for an afternoon and evening of spiritual enrichment and fellowship.

The leadership conference featured five dedicated lecturers who shared valuable insights, biblical principles, and practical wisdom on the challenges and responsibilities of Christian leadership: Pastora Letitia Adejare, Pastor Norman Price, Pastora Rosemarie Gorospe, Pastor Eleazar Taray and Bishop Dr. George Aparri, PhD.

Each lecture offered a unique perspective on what it means to remain faithful, courageous, humble, and steadfast when leadership is tested by pressure, challenges, and changing circumstances. The sessions were highly informative, inspiring, and motivating, encouraging every participant to continue serving God with integrity and perseverance. Bishop George Aparri concluded the five lectures with a powerful message that brought together the important lessons and principles shared throughout the conference.

Following the conference was the much-awaited Graduation Ceremony, marking an important milestone in the lives and ministries of five graduates representing different nationalities and backgrounds. Bishop Wilma Bobis, the guest speaker, delivered a Spirit-filled, inspiring, and motivating message that challenged the graduates to view their achievement not simply as the completion of their studies, but as a greater call to serve God and His people faithfully.

The five graduates were:
Rev. Alfredo D. Garbo
Rev. Richard O. Balogun
Rev. Jay Rafael Oquendo
Rev. Chuck C. Shue
Rev. Krisyanto Wijaya

The celebration became even more meaningful as the five graduates were simultaneously ordained into the ministry. The ordination was officiated by Bishop Dr. George Aparri, Regional Coordinator and Overseer of the Canadian Christian Ministry (CCM) in British Columbia, together with the district pastors. The laying on of hands, prayers, and commissioning represented more than a ceremony—it signified a sacred responsibility and a renewed commitment to proclaim the Gospel, shepherd God’s people, strengthen churches, and faithfully fulfill the Great Commission wherever the Lord may lead.

The diversity of the graduates also beautifully reflected the heart of the Canadian Christian Ministry: different nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds united by one faith, one calling, and one mission in Christ.

Immediately after the event, everyone gathered for a fellowship potluck generously prepared and shared by the members. The table was filled with a wonderful variety of homemade dishes, representing the different cultures and traditions within the CCM community. Members brought savory meals, side dishes, snacks, desserts, and refreshments, creating an atmosphere of warmth, generosity, and joyful fellowship. Sharing food together provided a meaningful opportunity for pastors, leaders, graduates, families, and guests to connect, celebrate, and strengthen their relationships as one family in Christ.

From the leadership conference to the graduation, ordination, and fellowship potluck, the entire gathering was a powerful reminder that Christian leadership is not defined by position or title but by faithfulness, character, humility, perseverance, and service—especially when leadership is under pressure.

Congratulations to all the graduates and newly ordained ministers! May this milestone mark not merely the end of a season of preparation, but the beginning of a greater season of faithful and fruitful ministry.

To God be all the glory!

“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be.” —
