"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" Psalm 133:1 August 1, 2026 | Edmonds Park, Burnaby, British Columbia The first Canadian Christian Ministry (CCM) Inter-Church Outdoor Sports Fellowship, held on August 1, 2026, at Edmonds Park in Burnaby, British Columbia, was a remarkable celebration of Christian unity, fellowship, and joyful service. Churches from across the Lower Mainland came together with their pastors, ministry leaders, and members for a day filled with worship, friendly competition, and meaningful relationships.

Although the morning began with light rain, the gathering continued with hearts full of faith and anticipation. As if reminding everyone of God's favor and faithfulness, the clouds gradually cleared and the sun shone brightly throughout the rest of the day, providing perfect weather for the fellowship activities. The event officially opened with a time of praise and worship, setting the spiritual tone for the day by glorifying God and acknowledging Him as the center of every ministry. This time of worship reminded everyone that while churches may gather under different names and congregations, they are united as one body in Christ with the common mission of advancing God's Kingdom as emphasized in the message of Rev. Eny Ualat who is the resource speaker that day.

The fellowship featured a wide variety of exciting activities that encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship, and laughter. Participants enthusiastically joined basketball and volleyball games, while others competed in tug-of-war, Bible games, and beloved Filipino traditional games that brought back cherished memories and strengthened intergenerational connections. One of the highlights of the event was the lively Cheering Competition, where each participating church demonstrated creativity, enthusiasm, and unity in supporting their teams. The energy and excitement from every church made the competition memorable, and deserving winners received awards, and prizes in recognition of their outstanding participation and performance. Adding to the warmth of the gathering was the spirit of generosity shown by every participating congregation.

Each member church brought food to share, resulting in a wonderful community feast where everyone enjoyed delicious meals together. More than simply sharing food, it reflected the biblical model of fellowship, hospitality, and genuine Christian love as believers gathered around the table in unity. Beyond the games and festivities, the event beautifully reflected the heart and mission of Canadian Christian Ministry (CCM).

Under the faithful leadership of Bishop Dr. George Aparri, CCM continues to serve as a ministry dedicated to strengthening churches across Canada by fostering unity among pastors, encouraging collaboration between congregations, developing Christian leaders, and creating opportunities for churches to minister together. Through gatherings such as this, CCM demonstrates that healthy churches are built not only through worship services but also through genuine relationships, mutual encouragement, and shared experiences that strengthen the body of Christ.

The success of this inaugural Inter-Church Outdoor Sports Fellowship stands as a testament to what can be accomplished when churches unite with one purpose—to glorify God and build one another up in love. It provided an opportunity for believers from different congregations to establish new friendships, strengthen existing partnerships, and celebrate the diversity and unity found in Christ. As participants departed with smiles, laughter, and lasting memories, there was a shared sense of anticipation for future CCM gatherings.

May this first Inter-Church Outdoor Sports Fellowship become the beginning of a cherished annual tradition that continues to strengthen churches, inspire believers, and proclaim the love of Christ throughout Canada.

To God be all the glory
